Part sing-a-long and part music appreciation course, this interactive and exciting series explores American popular music from the 1890’s through the 1950’s.
Each of six, one hour-long segments features a new decade of music. An eye-catching graphics-studded Powerpoint presentation projects bold lyrics, vintage photos and memorable film clips on a large screen making it easy for participants to sing along and fully enjoy the experience. Each event is packed with interesting and entertaining historical facts and trivia which are designed to promote wide audience participation.

With a degree in piano performance and thirty years of experience, Pamela Yarjan is highly qualified to teach students of all ages, guiding them to be multi-functional keyboardists who can improvise from a chord chart as well as play traditional piano literature. With a special affinity for older adult beginners, she uses a relaxed, non-competitive, approach that emphasizes personal enjoyment.
Pam will bring a full-sized keyboard and offer lessons on-site in your active adult/retirement community or senior center at a very reasonable price to residents!
